Default how to identify when a word is a verb in gerund or a noun

I have problems to identify when in my writing I have to use a word and I'm not sure if it is a noun with ing or a verb in gerund.

ex. I like to walking. Is this sentence gramatically correct?

I like to walk. Is that sentence incorrect?

Thank you for helping me.

Victor.
