    Default Administer or administrate

    Dear All,

Although administer and administrate have the same meaning, are there any differences in usage, in particular with regards to administration of a computer system?

    Many thanks,

    Richard.

    Welcome, rmoore.

administer means to organize or put into effect, whereas administrate means to manage the affairs of an organization or company.
