Default the study of one's appearance

I think ' the study of stars = astrology ' right. How about ' the study of people appearance ' to predict their future ' ? Is there a particular word for it ?

Well, since this is the oriental culture, I wonder if the word is available. ?

I saw that somebody had posted here, and I said to myself, "Hey! Red's got the answer."

Do you think a google search for "types of prophecy" will turn up the answer to that one?

:grab:

Phrenology, the study of the shape and size of the cranium. I believe phrenologists also look at the eyes, and the lines on the feet and the hands to predict one's health. Palm readers read the lines on the human hand to predict one's future. In the West, the average person tends to read his/her horoscope (astrological signs). Some people go to mediums, pyschics. There are also people who specialize in hand-writing who can tell your character, but not necessarily your future, although they say they can.

It's called face reading. Here's more:

Are you already cursing your double chin? Well, don't! It means that happiness will come later in life but it will make up for arriving so late by arriving in bulk.

Do you hate the way your ears stick out? This reveals that you are an unconventional, original and independent thinker.

Do you wish you didn't have "crow's feet"? Enjoy them, because they show that you can see and appreciate the bigger picture. It also shows you are not easily fooled.

Do you curse a constantly shiny nose? According to Chinese wisdom, a shiny nose reveals good money luck. So check in the mirror before you place that next bet!!

That's exactly what I am looking out for. Thanks Ron. But the site won't have many other good examples. It jus scrapes the surface of ' face reading ' :(. Mine will be better :P:P
