    Default more often than not

hello, please help me. I always hear this expression, " more often than not" but I don't know the real meaning and how to use. Can somebody give the meaning and give me a sample situation on how to use it. thanks!

It means 'usually'. It accepts that it is not always the case, but emphasises that it is the majority of the time.

    Examples:

I try to leave early every Friday, but more often than not my boss finds a last-minute project for our department.

I don't bother going to the video store on Saturdays any more, because more often than not, all the best movies are already gone.
