Hi all,
I have a doubt how to ask a person to know whether he has had his lunch or not.
1. Had your Lunch? (Is this correct?)
2. Have you had your lunch?( Is this correct?)
then what is the difference between those questions mentioned above.
Bye
I would use the first sentence to ask him.I think it will be more correct if you ask him :"have you had your lunch yet"
The 2nd make no sense to me.![]()
Just my 2 cents
Hi Chattogokul
I always say " Have you had lunch yet? ".![]()
For 1. Had your lunch? I think it should be " Did you have your lunch? "
but I'm not the native speaker. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
And I'd like to know the difference between
1. Did you have lunch?
2.Have you had lunch?![]()
I've been taught to say " Have you had lunch? ".![]()
Hi,
I'm a bit confused about this again. Can anybody please conclude this issue?
Bye
The first is more colloquial- I'd use it in casual speech, but not in a more formal social context.![]()
