There is no subjunctive mood in it (correct me if I'm wrong :-) )

There's no need for the subjunctive there:
Present Please correct me if I am wrong.
Past Please correct me if I was wrong.
In both cases, we're dealing with a real possibility, so the subjunctive seems out of place. In the second, the time is past, so it's not a second conditional.
