Correct Preposition
Which among in, at, over, on, and above is the appropriate preposition to fill this?
Sun rise ___ the Pacific.

in my opinion, at sounds to be correct. but i'm not sure.

Re: Correct Preposition
Hi,
Usually we use to say " The Sun rises in the east" Here east is not a place and it's a side, so we use "in" as preposition. If we use any place like "Pacific" I think we have to use "at" as preposition.
Correct me if I'm wrong
Bye

But, I feel that over sounds good.

''Sunrise over the Pacific'' is correct. It sounds like a film title though.

Welcome, MSRKiran.
You're right about over, but the example sentence is awkward. Try,
[1] The sun rises over the Pacific.
[2] Sunrise over the Pacific. <a possible book title, I agree>
All the best.
