I can't understand this..pls help Teachers could you pls explain the meaning of this sentence
"Describe an important decision you made in the absence of your boss."

Re: I can't understand this..pls help "in the absence of your boss" means when your boss wasn't in the office. That is, s/he wasn't in the office to make a decision for you, so you had to make the decision on your own.
