I agree with Ron, but it could also have another meaning in competitions- Are they through to the next stage. However, without further context, I would go for Ron meaning every time.![]()

I found that phrase in a dialogue:

A:Of course.
B:You should say sure instead of of course.
C:Are they though?
'Are they though' is a way of questioning the truth of what the other speaker has said:
'The guy in the shop said these chairs are 17th century French.'
'Are they, though?' = I'm not so sure of that.
