| 1-I was driving a car recently repaired. instead of: 2-I was driving a recently repaired car. Could one say: 3-I was living in a house extremely comfortable. instead of: 4-I was living in an extremely comfortable house. |

| . #1 sounds poetic/overly stylized because there is no further modification: I was driving a car [that was] recently repaired by my brother-in-law. It is possible, however. #3 is not possible because comfortable, and most descriptive adjectives, cannot post-modify. Past participles like 'repaired' can sometimes do so, as they represent an adjective clause like the one indicated above. . |
