Confusion with tenses
Hi, I`m a finnish student and I have a question for you.
Are these sentences grammatically correct? And if they are, do they make any sense?
1) I am taught to do so
2) I was taught to do so
3) I have been taught to do so
They all make sense to me and I`d guess they are all grammatically correct, but I don`t have a clue how and especially when should I use them. I mean that could you give me some example sentences.
I hope you understand my somewhat clumsy question.

1) I am taught to do so (you are still taught)
2) I was taught to do so (your eductaion is over)
3) I have been taught to do so (referring to some education at an unspecified time in the past- quite possible not something obvious like schooling)

They are all possible (but the first one doesn't seem very likely).
You could say, "I was taught that it should be done this way."
(Your English seems pretty good to me.)

Your question was put more clearly than some I have seen by NES. However, if you would like a suggestion I will give you a couple.

Try:
- They all make sense to me and I`d guess they are all grammatically correct, but I don`t have a clue about how to use them. Could you give me some example sentences?
