is the first sentence confusing? can you use a word as a noun and adjective in the same sentence?

Leave a copy of the form and a copy of the original invoice in the Legal Fees file, and send the originals to Alison Cook in Edinburgh.
You could - but there's no need to - change the word "original" to, say, the client's invoice or our company's invoice.
