could you please explain the meaning of the second part of the following sentence:
But 2006 could prove only marginally slower year one of good consolidation after a 2-3 business spurt.
I donīt understand the word "consolidation" and donīt know whether the numbers "2-3" refer to years or what?

The two or three years before 2006 were a time of rapid growth and this year will be a time to bring it all together and make it more solid.
PS a marginally slower year ... 2-3-year spurt
