a good film ON cinema would mean that this film is ABOUT cinema, about its history for example, like 'literature on cinema'. This is what I know for sure.

As for 'at' I can`t help, and could it be 'in'?

I think 'in' and 'at' are possibly used with 'the cinema'. Any comments?
