better expression

could you please help me again. I need to find a better expression to replace the term "re-expansion".

This fact enabled re-expansion of economics into other social sciences.

Or is "re-expansion" OK? The meaning should be that economics overlaps with other social sciences again. But "re-overlapping" sounds strange to me.
