Default the difference between before an until

"He had been waiting in the rain for an hour before she came."
I think this sentence is correct.
Is it OK to use 'until' in stead of 'before'.
"He had been waiting in the rain for an hour until she came."
Please help me.
Thank you.

Talking Re: the difference between before an until

dear friend

if you say
...untill she came... it means that she has to be at a certain place at 10, and he has been there since 10, but she arrived at 11, and so, he has been at the rain UNTIL; SHE CAME

if you say
...before she came... it means that before she comes, he has been waiting in rain, may be because he was excited. she was supposed to be thewre at 10, and she arrived at 10, but he was that excited that he couldn't tolorate to wait till 10, and so, he has been standing there at about 9.

hope that helps

Matilda
