just it depen in the way formal or informal | Perhaps it's different elsewhere, but in the US if you are revealing your age to someone, you would say "I am 43 years old." You would never say "I have 43 years." That response would get you nothing but a blank, uncomprehending look.
The only instance where one would say "I have 43 years" would be to respond to a question similar to: "How long have you worked with welding tools?" "I have 43 years experience in the field." |
