Smile Dress, pity...

Hi,
There are a few sentences I didn't understand. I hope you can help.

"I pitied him for thinking that way."(A sentence that I didn't exactly. I guess, it mentions from the compassion, doesn't it?)

And second thing;

"Dress in layers"

What does it mean?

Thanks for now!

Hello Kerim

#1 means "I felt compassion for him, because he had thoughts of that kind."

To "dress in layers" means to wear several different garments, one on top of the other. It can be for practical reasons (e.g. you might be travelling through a country that was very cold at night but very warm during the day), or for reasons of fashion.

Bye
MrP
