    What does (cultural trend) mean in the following sentence?

    For some years, to keep in line with popular CULTURAL TREND, some people are deciding to decorate their bodies with exotic tattoos and hanging ring.

    It means a pattern of behaviour that is popular at the moment- cultural can have a very wide meaning nowadays.
