Hello!
My question: Can I say "Where did you went on your holiday?"
Or shall I say "Where did you go on your holiday?"
It's a question about the past so I guess It should be went?
Thanks for your answear
Simon!
You can't say "Where did you went on your holiday?"
1. You have to use "go" instead of "went" coz you already used "did" and if you've got did then always use present tense.
2. I'd also say "for your holiday(s)"
"Where did you go for you holidays?" sounds right to me...........but a native speaker could tell you more about that.......Okay?
you should say "where did you go on your holiday?"Originally Posted by Jaanivald

Welcome, Jaanivald.
There should be only one tense carrying verb per sentence, but in our example sentence, there are two tense carrying verbs, "did" (past tense of DO) and "went" (past tense of GO).
The first verb carries tense, the second does not. Like this,
EX: Where did you go on your holiday?
All the best.![]()
