| As a basic distinction, we tend to look at things that are not moving (pictures, photos) and watch things that move (films, football). |

| Use see if you're looking at something for a little while. Use watch if you're looking for a long time. We usually "see" movies, though {Did you see The DaVinci Code?} but "watch" T.V. {Did you watch Desperate Housewives?} |
