Red face Father

Dear Teacher,

When "father" is also a verb, can we say that I fathered a baby on 14th or
my friend has fathered a baby on 15th. Can we use it so?

Thank you,

Murli

.
Yes, indeed you can-- but it refers to the fertilization of the egg by the sperm, so it would be very difficult to assign a date to the action.

It doesn't have to refer to an illegitimate child, although it's usually used in that context.
