 how close they are to Him "God has His own ways and means to work in the hearts of men and we do not know how close they are to Him." I am confused about what "they" refers to. Is she saying that "We do not know how close the hearts of men are to each other in God's eyes"? Or "how intimate the relationship between God and men are"? |

| Re: how close they are to Him . I am not a very competent Christian, but I suppose it means that other men cannot judge how intimate someone is with God-- God works with people in many ways, and the result is not always immediately evident. . |
