Proper nouns are capitalized. Proper nouns are nouns that name particular things. Names of people are proper nouns. Names of places are proper nouns. Names of monuments are proper nouns. Names of buildings are proper nouns. Names of specific geographical features are proper nouns. Names of cities and towns and countries, etc. are proper nouns. Brand names are proper nouns.
