older or elder???
Please i'd like to know when you use "elder" and when you use "older" and what's the difference between them...

Elder as a modifier refers to two people (especially when related): "She is the elder sister." We can use older in that context as well, and in in all other contexts in which we wish to imply a comparative age. Fowler's Modern English Usage
