Question Either ... or...

Hi, is the following sentence correct?

"They either do not optimize the conditions of the process or do not use methods that are optimum in the sense above-mentioned."

It is rather a clumsy construction, but the only grammatical error is that "above-mentioned" is an adjective. It is either "the above-mentioned sense" or "the sense mentioned above".
