| Can I use the adjective "desperate" with the noun "yell" to mean extreme yells in someone who is shouting aloud because he/she is in danger? If not, which one do you propose? Ex: I heard his DESPERATE yells and I rushed to call the police. Thanks a lot! Jesús |

| Yes,desperate is an adjective you can use when you are out of resources or means to reach a goal/purpose you are aiming for/at...when everything else has failed, when a situation is hopeless and no one else can help, then we say someone is desperate to do something...as a last resort. |
