Question Awkward

Hi: Consider the sentence:

“The construction of this sentence is awkward, and thus I am not sure what you really meant in the sentence.”

May I use “here” or “there” (or what may/should I use) instead of “in the sentence”? In fact, I don’t like this sentence, since this “in the sentence” phrase makes it awkward (it’s a funny coincidence, isn’t it? – I’m writing about an awkward sentence using an awkward sentence.)

Thanks,
Nyggus

Default Re: Awkward

You could use "here", but "there" would sound better used with "that sentence". Personally, I would say "..., and thus I am not sure what you really meant by it."
