| You can add the prefix "in" to both words to make invent and inscribe, if that's any help. |

| You can also have "circumscribe" and "circumvent", "prescribe" and "prevent", "subscribe" and "subvent"... there may be more, those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. |
