Hello.
Your site is a treasure of wonderful idioms - words and so on.As a student of English I would appriciate if you can open a column on samples of english conversation for senior students like me .
What is expected from you - I may submit that-is not only primary samples of conversational english for example when two persons ask time or about climate or directions -that we see on number of other sites-but what I like to have is something more than that. You should intrduce a new opening which place before us a specemen of delightful ,polished and graceful english-conversation.
Please introduce this opening in your site and in the meantime please suggest a few more sites which have already covered this aspect on their web site.
Many thanks .
Regards
Mr.Prabhune
Prabhune, the trouble with that would be that most conversation is not polished and graceful, but messy and improvised, with pauses, corrections, reformulations, changes of direction in midstream, etc. The general movement nowadays is towards a look at real conversation, rather than presenting people with artifical models, so the idea is to develop the skills that enable someone to participate in the ebb and flow of ordinary communication.
