Can I use the word 'intend' instead of 'going to' ?
ie: Can I say ' I do not intend to email her often when I travel?'
Thanks a lot
Hello Pupitra, welcome to UE!
Yes, you can use "to intend to do something" when you wish to emphasise the fact that you have decided upon a particular course of action:
1. I am going to watch Brazil play Croatia tonight.
— this tells us what you have decided to do.
2. I intend to watch Brazil play Croatia tonight.
— this emphasises what you have decided to do.
