Is it correct to say
"I was barely at my desk in the past hours. I was just too busy. "
Thanks a lot!
Emily
What about?
I was barely at my desk these past few hours.
Thanks for being patient!
It's like when a person asks you whether his telephone rang when he was away from the desk. And I want to say that I was busy, and didn't even sit before my desk in the past few hours, thus don't know whether his telephone has rung or not.
Comments, please. Thanks!
Sorry, I wouldn't know. I was away from my desk.![]()
