Angry Poor test.

Bad sentences, examples: "Stratford is the town ____ Shakespeare was born in." For starters, you should not end sentences with prepositions. Some other sentences are not well worded and can create confusion. Or, perhaps, because I am older I am not "with" the "new" English!

Hello John

We would be in serious trouble if we couldn't end a sentence with a preposition. Indeed, some constructions force a terminal preposition. What would we say instead of:

1. What are you looking at?
2. It's not worth thinking about.
3. It's too much to hope for.

As for "new" English, I'm not so sure – Shakespeare and Milton weren't averse to ending their sentences with prepositions!

And even further back- they had been used at the end of sentences for hundreds of years before someone invented that so-called rule.
