Default teaching one to one

Hi, i am new English teacher from Macedonia and this is my first year in teaching. I am teaching some students one to one and i am giving all i can in order they to succeed, but tehse days I am having some adult learners that want to learn English and the problem is that i have never been teaching adults, which makes it difficult for me.I would be really thanfull if someone can give me some more ideas in doing this better.

Thanks
