Question Question about using "the" in dates

Hi,

Could you please tell me which of the
following is/are correct:

1. The US became independent on 4th July, 1776.
2. The US became independent on the 4th of July, 1776.
3. The US became independent on the 4th July, 1776

4. The US became independent on July 4, 1776.

5. The US became independent on the July 4, 1776.


My personal guess is - 1,2 and 4.

1. The US became independent on 4th July, 1776.
2. The US became independent on the 4th of July, 1776. <iffy>
3. The US became independent on the 4th July, 1776.
4. The US became independent on July 4th, 1776.
5. The US became independent on the July 4, 1776.
