    I come across a strange sentence :"I got on the bus and who should be sitting in front of me but Tony!"I can't understand the part following "and".It seems wrong to me.help me oet,thanks!

    It means that it was a surprise to see Tony on the bus.

    The sentence is OK. It means the narrator was surprised to see Tony.
