Hi,
I did some exercise about adjective clauses and met these two questions - Xenon has a number of applications, among which may be mentioned its use in flash lamps for high-speed photography.
Croquet is a popular lawn game in which players hit wooden ball through wire arches called wickets.
Why should we use "among which" and "in which", but not just "which" for these two sentences?
Thanks for help.
1- There are various uses and you are only naming one.
2- Players hits the ball in the game; they don't hit the game.
Thanks a lot!
You're welcome, KMC.![]()
