Hi everybody!
Is there anyone who could tell me what does the idiom "head to the beach" means and if it's really an idiom?
I have seen an article which as the title "Stocks head to the beach"
Do you have in your idiom list this one because I couldn't find it on your website?
Does this "idiom" is frequently use in English?
Many tanks for your help.
It's not really an idiom -- in this sense "to head" indicates purposeful movement towards a goal. "Stocks head to the beach" means that stocks (I can only guess what the article is about) have set off with the intention of getting to the beach.
Still, I think it would be more usual to say "head towards" or "head for", but the meaning is clear.
