Please help me with the articles here.
1. Maud is a teacher. She works at a school.
2. Maud is a teacher. She works at school.
If I did a test which should I choose?
I know if she were a cook we’d certainly use the indefinite article. What about teachers?
It sounds more natural with the article to me.
Hello, tdol.
I am really confused. I happened to send my question twice by mistake. You've given 2 contradictory answers.
In your first one, who did you agree with? You can't have agreed with me, because my question was alternative. Which means you agreed with Matilda, who says Maude works at school (no article).
In this one you say Maude works at a school is correct.
????? Will you be so kind to explain?
I misread the other thread- use an article. Sorry; going screenblind.![]()
