Cool Equipment - singular or plural

Dear Teacher,

Kindly tell me whether "Equipment" is singular or plural.

This word is used as both singular and plural , but it is plural without " s".

It's uncountable so it takes a singular verb. To make it plural, you'd need to talk of 'pieces of equipment'.
