Question too vs. either

Hi. In the following sentence,
"This effect was negligible, too,"
should I use 'either' instead of 'too', or 'too' is fine?

Thanks,

I think 'too' is fine because the sentence contains somewhat negative meaning but the form of it is not negative. Thus, you should use 'too' instead of 'either'.

Hope that helps!

The point is that I saw several examples when the negative meaning, which, actually, "negligible" carries, caused the use of the words appropriate for negative sentences was correct. Therefore, I am not sure about my examples (though I would problably use "too").

PS. Dear Teachers, is the sentence starting with "The point is that..." correct? Thanks in advance!
