help with a question

i need to know what is a single spoke and a sub-header of a spoke is. i have read my materials but unless i am missing it i dont understand what it is.? please if you could give me some information on this i would greatly appreciate it.

I have seen this question before and honestly have no idea what it means. From the answer I saw elsewhere, it would appear that others are perplexed by the term. Could you supply some more context and someone might be able to help.
