    Is this sentence correct:

    I pushed him to fall on the floor. (Instead of: I pushed him so that he would fall on the floor.)

    I agree with RonBee and add,

    you could say, "I pushed him to study" wherein 'pushed' means, forced in the sense of insisted.

    "I insisted he fall on the floor" is odd.
    "I forced him to fall on the floor" is better.
