Smile Is there a rule for this

Hi
I just wanna ask about the use of where in this sentence:
I like the scene where the actor falls
is it a relative clause and if so can just explain to me when ( where ) is used in sentence like this.

'Where' is informal in this relative clause for 'in which'.
