Question Emphasis?

Hi. Compare the two sentences:
1. "I have nothing to say in this matter."
2. "I don't have anything to say in this matter."
I feel that in the 1st sentence the speaker puts some emphasis compared to the 2nd sentence -- am I right?

Thanks in advance,
Nyggus

Me too, though I'd say 'on this matter'.
