"From our results, the following picture of relationships studied emerges."
Do you like this sentence? For example:
1. Many wouldn't put a comma after "results."
2. Is "emerges" fine there? Would "follows" be better?
3. "View of" vs. "picture of": do those phrases have the same meaning and may they be used interchangeably?

1 I would
2 Fine, and I wouldn't use 'follows'. How bout an article before 'relationships'?
3 Not the same to me- view = opinion, picture = more objective description
I would, too.Originally Posted by tdol

Then, both could actually be used here, though with different meanings, couldn't they?3 Not the same to me- view = opinion, picture = more objective description

2 I just think that a picture would emerge rather than follow.
