Hi, I find this sentence tricky, but I have tried to make it a bit fancy. Have I done it well?

'have' here is to be non-finite.

'compared to' or just simply 'than'.
compared to the lower one. Avoid repeating words.
Also I would omit the second 'should'.
Yet should be still I think.

'effects'' must be a typo.

and the difference in their effects be stat. sign... .

Should the higher dose have a bigger impact on the environment than the lower one and the difference in their effects be statistically significant still unreasonable, the lower dose ought to be recommended.

I put it in passive to evade the problem of using two one's referring to two different things.

I think it would be difficult to find that 'one' refers to the dose, so I would stay with 'dose'.

Well, the second 'should' adds emphasis and clarifies the sentence, I think.

I'm not sure -- it doesn't sound natural to me. Maybe 'though' would work here (though I think yet is better and has a slightly different meaning), but not still.
