Will you have to interpret (translate simultaneously in speech) or write translations?

No it won’t be simultaneously. The thing is that I am not a beginner in English and i can speak English but translation demands some professional skills I think. And I have so called linguistic barrier. That awful fear. which make me feel like a stupid child... I know English and trying to improve it all the time spending a lot of time watching programs and reading news in internet during some free time at work and moreover more than 80% of all documentation in English... I am bit depressed about my fear, it does not permit me to go forward in my carrier.

Are you translating to or from English? And what are the translations going to be used for?

This sounds highly specialised to me, and I would recommend having a professional trnalsator do this. However, try here for sites and tips on translation:

Read as widely as possible in the area to become familiar with the jargon and specialised uses of terms- specialised translation requires knowledge of formats and subtle meanings, so expose your self to as much relevant language as possible.
