The first answer works best. The "has" in the second answer is redundant. Chris http://www.hearseesay.com

If somebody asked me that question I would use the second answer. I do not think that it is redundant. The tense in the answer agrees with the tense in the question. But I see nothing wrong with the first one. Let's see what the experts say.

Hi, Xenon, You can only use the Past Simple when a definite moment of time is marked. So, only 1, regardless of the tense in the question. You could also answer -Yes, it has. It landed at 10.30. Regards.

For some reason I keep forgetting that present perfect tense is for an unspecified time and past tense is for an specified time. I learnt it years ago and recently somebody explained it to me one more time. From now on, I 'll try to memorize it. ahhh rules, rules, rules.
