Dear teachers,
When I was a beginner we learned from the textbook greetings such as 'Lovely day, isn't it?", 'Nasty day" etc. I have seen some American films and found nobody says so. Is it the difference between American English and British English?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Jiang
Yes. "Lovely day, isn't it" is very rarely used in American English.
Hi Quisch,
Thank you very much for your reply. Could you please tell me whether it is often used in British English?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you in advance.
Jiang
